FORWARD MADISON RELEASES 2024 PRIDE MERCHANDISE TO BENEFIT OUTREACH LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY CENTER
MADISON, WI: Forward Madison FC is excited to launch its annual Pride Merchandise Capsule for its 2024 season. This collection marks the fifth year of Forward Madison’s charitable commitment during Pride Month. The merchandise line will consist of the 2024 Pride Pre-Match Top, scarf, t-shirts, hoodies, spirit jerseys, flags, and can koozies. During the month of June, 25% of all proceeds from the collection will be donated to OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center. FMFC is thrilled to be able to support OutReach during Pride Month and continue to help sponsor their MAGIC Pride Festival on August 18th at Warner Park.
This is the first year that Forward Madison has commissioned artistic representation from queer local artist, T.L. Luke, to help design the top.
T.L. Luke (she/they) is a professional illustrator and political activist based in Madison, WI. Her personal work ranges from whimsically dark illustrations of fearless girls adventuring precarious unknowns with their larger-than-life-size animal companions, to comics that help explain state politics so readers can enact legislative progress in their local communities. Luke enjoys making complicated subjects more digestible for visual learners, all while encouraging critical thinking and radical creativity.
“Pride is an important initiative not only for our supporters but for our community,” said Forward Madison Lead Buyer, Alyssa Bruce. “FMFC has always been a place where everyone is welcomed and celebrated for exactly who they are. We are excited to debut our first collaborative top with a local artist and think that everyone can find a piece of themselves in the design. This community has always rallied behind our club, and it’s our pleasure to return the support and recognition.”
The top features all walks of life within the Madison community. In her art, T.L. Luke perfectly encapsulates the excitement from a Forward Madison match while highlighting the diverse stories of the club’s fanbase.
The 2024 Pride Pre-Match Top will be worn by the players before every match during the month of June, starting tomorrow. Player-worn tops will be sold in the Team Store at the end of the month, signed by the artist, and accompanied by a framed poster of her art.
The Pride Warmup is available for preorder here, and the rest of the collection is on sale now. Merchandise pieces can be purchased either online or in the team store starting tomorrow, June 1st, at Pride Night during the Forward Madison match at 5pm CT. For $30, fans can purchase a ticket to the match and a Pride Scarf with the Pride Night Ticket Package. $5 from each pack sold will be donated to OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center.
