Forward Madison FC have agreed to loan goalkeeper Phil Breno to the Tampa Bay Rowdies in exchange for goalkeeper Raiko Arozarena, pending league and federation approval. Both transactions are recallable loans.
Phil Breno is in his second year with the Flamingos, tallying 39 appearances in the Pink and Blue. This season, Breno made 12 starts for the Flamingos, tallying 31 saves at a 59.6% Save Success Rate.
Raiko Arozarena comes to Forward Madison FC after experience in the Tampa Bay Rowdies system since 2021. Prior to the Rowdies, the 25-year-old played in Mexico, first for Venardos and then with CF Cafetaleros de Chiapas. The Pinar Del Rio, Cuba native also has made appearances for Cuba’s U-20 national team. Arozarena is the brother of Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozerena.
Raiko Arozarena has made 4 appearances for the Rowdies this season, after 2 appearances in the 2021 campaign. The 5’11” goalkeeper is set to play a major role in a FMFC squad looking to push for the USL League One playoffs.
