In a commitment to support and grow opportunities for female soccer players in the greater Madison-area, Forward Madison FC is thrilled to announce the Forward Futures Girls Training program starting this June. This supplemental training program is geared towards the most talented and driven players in our community. Also included in this program is an opportunity for young collegiate players to train in a high-level environment from June through July.
“It has always been our goal at Forward Madison to provide our community with growth opportunities for all soccer players in the Madison-area,” FMFC Director of Soccer Operations and Development, Keith Tiemeyer, said. “As the club moves closer to establishing a presence in the women’s professional space, we feel that it is our responsibility to create an avenue for young girls to have a development pathway leading to the highest levels of women’s soccer.”
The Forward Futures Girls Program will be led by Bryan Davis. Davis has a longstanding track record of working with top-level players in the youth soccer landscape as well as at the collegiate level. Davis coached and mentored current FMFC newcomer, Jackson Dietrich, as his Head Coach at Wright State University where he was also named Horizon League Coach of the Year in 2016. Along with extensive experience at the collegiate coaching level, Bryan is currently working as a Head Coach in the Girls Academy League. He has built an extensive network of coaching collaborators and aims to elevate training and exposure opportunities by bringing in top-tier coaches to assist with training.
“This is the type of training program that helps prepare Madison-area players to compete on a regional and national level come the Fall season with their respective clubs,” Davis said. “Forward’s growth and vision for player development will help uplift the most talented players within our community to the highest levels of competition.”
Davis will also serve as the Forward Madison FC Academy College Recruiting Services Advisor. In this position, he will help establish a baseline process for our FMFC Academy and Futures players. He will create college pathway opportunities that connect athletes with college coaches through ID sessions as well as invitations to observe training sessions and matches. More tailored individual options and referrals through the College Services Advisor will be available.
“I am incredibly excited to welcome Bryan as our FMFC Academy College Recruiting Advisor,” Academy Director, Aaron Hohlbein, said. “His knowledge of the current college landscape will provide families with the information necessary to navigate the recruiting process. Utilizing his extensive network and expertise, Bryan will provide strategic guidance on how to contact college coaches and build a compelling soccer resume.”
