Forward Madison have signed 29-year-old defender Christian Dean for the remainder of the 2022 season, pending league and federation approval. After playing collegiately at California, the 6-foot-3 center back was drafted third overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by the Vancouver WhiteCaps.
Dean played for the WhiteCaps 2 Team for two seasons and appeared in 12 games, scoring one goal over that span. During his time with the WhiteCaps, the defender played for the United States U23 National Team in 2014, and managed to score one goal in four games. In 2017, the defender joined the Chicago Fire for one season and then in 2021 he played with the Charlotte Independence in the USL Championship.
Most recently, Dean played in four games for Bay Cities FC, in the National Independent Soccer Association. Expect the California-native to add a spark into the Flamingos backline!
